Getting To Mexico

Regardless of where you are residing getting to Mexico these days is more then convenient and very affordable. Traveling to Mexico by plane is the most popular option, because it is the fastest. Numerous airfare deals to Mexico City will make your job finding cheap tickets to Mexico way too simple. If you prefer to start your vacation right at your doorstep - consider either a train tour to Mexico (that is if you live in the continental USA) or a cruise travel to Cancun (ah, the cruise), or any other Mexican beach resorts port.

1. Getting to Mexico from Canada and the USA

Americans living in the south of the USA tend to drive to Mexico. To have no problems with your car at the border while getting into Mexico you'd better take control of:
  • a plate in your car
  • insurance, though you will probably have to get a car insurance of Mexico.

If you prefer to take a flight you are welcome to fly from the main American and Canadian airports. Most planes' destination is Mexico city, but some air companies have flights to Cancun, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, etc. If you plan to have a holiday like a star, flying with a private plane, you will not be able to land at the main airport of Mexico city, but at Toluca.

2.Getting to Mexico from the EU

You will take no trouble if getting to Mexico from most European capitals and it will take you some 11 hours, because daily flights are available. Fares are to be viewed as they vary often.

3. Getting to Mexico from Australia and New Zealand

Unfortunately now there are no available flights from this part of the world to Mexico, but you are welcome to take a flight either to one of main American or to the European airports.

4. Domestic Flights

If you have decided to take a domestic flight, you can pick up one of the main airlines Mexicana and Aeromexico, though both are fairly expensive, as one Aeromexico is the property of the Mexican government and the other Mexicana has recently become private, hopefully soon it will reduce its prices. If you prefer small airlines, there are some in Mexico, though timetables and destinations are not numerous.Hopefully in some two years the Mexican air companies market will grow greatly, as a result providing lower prices for those eager to fly with them, and it will become easier to get to a less popular place in Mexico. But now a lot of Mexico travellers prefer to enjoy Mexico city first and then set off revelling in other Mexican spots.
